As a result of the recent partnership between Integral Life and State of the World Forum,  II
has been working on creating some integral primers that can serve to help get the
message out to those who are interested but new to integral theory. In addition, II wanted to
provide some interesting content for integral practitioners who are familiar with the AQAL
model. Please find attached the following Integral Institute Resource Papers:

An Overview of Integral Theory: An All-Inclusive Framework for the 21st Century
By Sean Esbjörn-Hargens

This primer to integral theory provides an up to date introduction and is an ideal piece to give to
colleagues and friends who keep asking you "What is 'integral theory'?.  While Ken Wilber has
penned a few introductions these often aren't viewed as ideal presentations for many
professional contexts. The hope is that this new introduction will fill in the gap and allow
individuals another resource in communicating the basics of integral theory. This introduction
is also written in a way that even seasoned integral practitioners will find illuminating with new
details of integral theory being offered.

An Overview of Integral Ecology: A Comprehensive Approach to Today's Complex Planetary
Issues
By Sean Esbjörn-Hargens and Michael E Zimmerman

This primer basically serves as a 15 page summary of the 800+ page book which just came
out. So for those of you who want the cliff notes version of Integral Ecology -  here it is (but keep
in mind that all the juicy endnotes - all 200 pages of them - are only in the book :). Michael and
Sean have intentionally removed any jargon and made this as accessible to a wide audience
as possible.

Responding to Climate Change: The Need for an Integral Response
By Karen O'Brien

This primer gives a really great overview of why integral theory is relevant to issues of climate
change. Karen outlines 6 ways integral theory contributes towards addressing the complex
issue of climate change and then anchors this in the unfolding situation in the Arctic region.
